Mindy McCready

In memory of Mindy McCready who's music still moves me....

Ten Thousand Angels

Guys do it all the time

Here: just have a playlist of her songs  It's about 30 of them, some of them old some of them new.

For those who do not know, she was found dead today, 2/17 of an apparent self inflicted gun shot.  She leaves behind two young sons.

Random Flashback

Blogger and I got into a fight while doing this one.

But anyways, more awesome songs you may not have heard of. (and if you did you probably forgot them.)

Better Things to Do- Terri Clark

Terri Clark - Poor, Poor Pitiful Me

Lookie it's two songs, by a female singer, the same singer, and they don't sound the same!  Hey Taylor Swift maybe you should get inspiration from her.

Watin Oh Joe

Random flashback time! Waitin' on Joe - Steven Azar

Not heard it go listen.

Now here's the interesting part, I have a copy of this song from way back when... my copy is different from the on here lyrics wise.

My copy :
"And one old boy said Joe never slowed down.
It was that 12 O'clock train,
So he didn't feel a thing,
Lord,. I believe that my brother's all right,
Still I'm prayin' he'll just give me a sign."

VS The video:
"And one old boy said that Joe never slowed down.
He tried to beat that mornin' train.
My life will never be the same
I didn't even tell my brother "goodbye"
Lord I wish somehow he'd just give me a sign."
used in the video.

Why the change in lyrics?  It does give a bit more of an emotional punch.  Google is failing to give me answer to this so I'm not even sure.

Flash Back time

I honestly have no comment on music right now.  I'm trying to come up with a review of Taylor Swift's new CD, that should be finished shortly.... I'm trying to find something nice to say about it.

In the mean time, have some flash back songs:

BlackHawk- Days of America If only this one still rang true... Shame how 10 years can change a country.

In lieu of all of the stuff going on  in schools and the like these days: Billy Gilman- One Voice was heard.

And finally, even with broken wings, clipped wings, caged birds, whatever terms you want to use, you can still dream and still fly: Martina McBride-A Broken Wing

We'll see if we can get this out more regular, even if it only is flashback songs.
